New Commissioners Sworn Into Township Office

Glenn Block, David Bond and incumbent Dale Daubert took oaths of office Tuesday night, as the board of commissioners reorganized.

Political newcomers Glenn Block and David Bond and incumbent Dale Daubert were sworn into office as commissioners Tuesday night by District Judge .

It was a 25-minute ceremonial meeting, as the newly formed board also chose Commissioner Tori Morgan as its president, Daubert as its vice president and Commissioner Tom Johns as assistant secretary.

District Judge Jacob Hammond administered the oath of office one by one to Block, Bond and Daubert, as family and friends looked on and took photos.

The new board will oversee township matters as South Whitehall faces a bit of a growth spurt. plans new housing off Walbert Avenue, is moving into the old Blockbuster building at the Village West shopping Center and St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network is transforming the former Pennsylvania Expo Center into a one-stop . The township is also looking at new alternative energy and doctor office parking ordinances.
