Obituary: Viola (DeOrzio) Aquilante

Viola (DeOrzio) Aquilante, 96, died at home on Sunday, July 1, 2012.

 

Viola (DeOrzio) Aquilante, 96, wife of the late Congens J. Aquilante of Berwyn, PA, died at home on Sunday, July 1, 2012.

Born in Bridgeport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Santucci and Josephine (Troilio) DeOrzio.

Viola worked with her husband in the family business, Aquilante's Modern Market.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Strafford, PA, and was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality.

Surviving are: 
Son, Anthony Aquilante and wife Betty Anne of Valley Forge, PA;
Daughter, Theresa wife of Joseph Nemeth of Orefield, PA;
Daughter, Ann wife of Anthony Storti, Sr. of Phoenixville, PA;
Son, Congens Aquilante Jr and wife Joan of Berwyn, PA; 30 Grandchildren and 47 Great-Grandchildren; and her longtime friend and companion, Anna "Comare Ann" Abbonizio.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Aquilante, and grandsons, Joseph Storti and Jordan Aquilante, her brothers and sisters, Daniel DeOrzio, Michael DeOrzio, Raymond DeOrzio, Philomena Paschall and Concetta Yacovelli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church,35 Old Eagle School Road, Strafford, PA, on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.

A viewing will be held on Thursday evening in St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 50 W. Walker Road, Wayne, PA from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday morning in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 35 Old Eagle Schoo Road, Strafford, PA 19087.
