One Injured in Crash on Mauch Chunk Road

One person was injured in a one-vehicle crash early this morning that closed Mauch Chunk Road for four hours.

South Whitehall police said the driver, who was partially ejected from the vehicle when it rolled, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. No one else was in the vehicle.

The driver was northbound on Mauch Chunk Road when the crash occurred at Evangate Road shortly before 1 a.m.

Police are investigating. They have not yet released the driver's name.

Cetronia ambulance transported the driver to the hospital. Greenawalds and Woodland fire departments assisted at the scene. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation had set up a detour for motorists.
