Parkway Manor Student Wins 'Drug-Free' Calendar Contest

Elyse Hortner's art work is displayed on the calendar's March page.

fifth grader Elyse Hortner is a winner in this year’s Attorney General’s Office annual "Drug-Free" Calendar Contest.

Hortner's entry is displayed on the calendar's March page. "Don't get caught up in a whirlwind of drugs" is the message, and it features the funnel of a tornado, swirling, with wine glasses, a cigarette and bottles caught in the storm.

In all, 12 winners, chosen for their creativity and ability to illustrate a drug-free message, represent each month of the 2012 calendar year. The Grand Prize winner’s artwork is displayed on the calendar's cover.
