PennDOT Road Work
Expect road work on Walnut Street and Route 22 in South Whitehall next week, PennDOT says.
PennDOT says the following work will be taking place next week in South Whitehall:
-- Walnut Street between Haines Mill Road and Cedar Brook Road will be closed Sept. 5-7 due to work being done by a local utility, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The closure will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Traffic will be detoured over Haines Mill Road, Broadway and Cedar Brook Road. A contractor is paving and doing other work related to a Lehigh County Authority water line.

The restrictions are expected to cause delays.
-- Route 22 between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 309 will be subject to lane restrictions for patching potholes on Sept. 6. The restrictions will be in effect 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should watch for stopped vehicles and expect delays.
