PennDOT Road Work

PennDOT said the following work will be done in South Whitehall this week:

*  Vegetation spraying will occur on Interstate 78 ramps between the Berks County line and Northampton County line. This is a moving operation on all ramps that will be under way during the day through Wednesday, May 18.

*  Vegetation spraying on Route 22 between Interstate 78 and the Northampton County line. This is a moving operation that will be conducted during daytime hours on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 and 19.

* Sweeping on Interstate 78 between Berks County line and Northampton County line. The work will be done from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thursday, May 19. PennDOT cautions motorists to be careful through the work area.

* Pothole patching on Interstate 78 between Exit 57 (Lehigh Street) and Berks County line from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  through Tuesday, May 17. There will be westbound lane restrictions. PennDOT cautions motorists to watch for stopped vehicles.
