Police Blotter: Thefts of Bike, Motorcycle Among Reports

The following information was supplied by the South Whitehall police department.

According to South Whitehall police, the following were among the incidents that were reported in the township from Feb. 3 to Feb. 9.

Thefts

  • A mountain bike valued at $7,200 was stolen from 5293 High Vista Drive; reported at 10:23 a.m. on Feb. 9.
  • Three gas pump signs, a steel door and metal racks, valued at a total of $5,000, was stolen from 741 Cedar Crest Blvd.; reported at 1 p.m. on Feb. 8.
  • Fifty-two guide rail posts, valued at $15,600, was taken from 3100 Iron Bridge Road; reported at noon on Feb. 7.

Theft of vehicle

  • A motorcycle was stolen from 1608 N. 20th St.; reported at 2:44 p.m. on Feb. 8.

Theft from vehicle

  • Someone broke the front passenger window of a car in the 3500 block of Alma Drive and took a purse, which was found in the yard with nothing missing; reported at 7:56 a.m. on Feb. 8.
  • Someone broke a window on a vehicle in the 800 block of Glick Avenue, rummaged through the vehicle but took nothing; reported at 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 8.
  • Someone stole $4 in coins from a vehicle in the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue; reported at 6:26 a.m. on Feb. 8.
  • Change and granola bars were taken from a vehicle in the 800 block of Pinnacle Drive; reported at 10:03 a.m. on Feb. 8.

Burglary

  • Someone broke into a garage at 3632 Oakwood Trail and stole change from a vehicle; reported at 3:21 a.m. on Feb. 8.

Criminal Mischief

  • Someone slashed tires and keyed a vehicle in the 2300 block of Fairmount Street; reported at 9:35 p.m. on Feb. 6.
  • Someone spraypainted a marquee at ; reported at 2 p.m. on Feb. 3. 
  • Someone drew graffiti on pillars and a port-o-potty, at Whitehall Avenue and Route 22; reported at 4:22 p.m. on Feb. 3. 

Accidents

  • One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Lincoln Avenue and Hamilton Boulevard, at 5:38 p.m. on Feb. 4; two vehicles were towed from the scene.
