According to South Whitehall police, the following were among the incidents that occurred in the township from Oct. 12 to Oct. 17:

Criminal mischief:

-- Reported at 4:19 p.m. on Oct. 17, in the 4500 block of Tilghman Street; vehicle window broken.

-- Reported at 12:28 p.m. on Oct. 15, in the 1400 block of Hausman Road; letters painted on side of building.

Burglary:

-- Reported at 9:47 a.m. on Oct. 16, in the 200 block of Bert Lane; pre-paid cellphone taken from unlocked vehicle in garage.

Theft:

-- Reported at 5:03 p.m. on Oct. 14, in the 700 block of N. 31st Street; 18-inch mountain bike taken between Oct. 12 and Oct. 14.

-- Reported at 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 14, at ; $23 taken.

-- Reported at 9 a.m. on Oct. 14, at ; cellphone taken.

-- Reported at 1:34 .m. on Oct. 13, at Roadway Inn, 1151 Bulldog Drive; laptop taken. 

-- Reported at 3:28 p.m. on Oct. 12, at Luther Crest; $30 taken from resident's purse.

Charged:

Sarah Strain, 21, of Fountain Hill, with theft. Police said $1,225 taken from employer, , 1650 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., South Whitehall.
