Police: Man Fled Accident, Passenger Injured
Christopher Burkhardt, of Colorado, is charged with accidents involving death or injury and other offenses following a one-vehicle crash on Huckleberry Road in South Whitehall. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A 25-year-old Colorado man crashed a vehicle into a utility pole in the 3800 block of Huckleberry Road shortly after midnight on Tuesday then fled, police said.
Christopher Burkhardt, of Montrose, is charged with accidents involving death or injury, careless driving and other offenses, according to court records.
A passenger in the car was treated for injuries at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

According to court records:
* An emergency room nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest told Lehigh County radio that a man admitted for treatment said he had been a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a crash. The man identified the driver as Burkhardt.

* South Whitehall Police went to the address on Old Sentry Road that the man, Dominic Martelli, had provided. The home's owner, Anthony Dippolito, told police that he had driven Martelli to the hospital. He also took police to the basement, where they found Burkhardt, sleeping.
* Burkhardt smelled of alcohol and was evasive. He did not deny that he drove the vehicle.
Burkhardt was arraigned before , who set bail at $20,000 unsecured.
