Protestors Gather Outside Sen. Toomey's Office

A group of protestors who gathered outside U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey's office Tuesday in neighboring Salisbury Township said Toomey hasn't done enough to promote job creation, according to The Morning Call. Some in the labor-backed crowd held signs, such as one that read, "Sen. Toomey, where are the jobs?"

Jody Weinrich, a 62-year-old garment textile worker laid off in 2008 by TAMA Manufacturing, told the Morning Call that Toomey's efforts do not help the working class, but "help big business, CEOs and millionaires."

Toomey was in Pottsville at a roundtable discussion with businesspeople Tuesday where he blamed government regulations for impeding the nation's recovery.
