South Whitehall Police Blotter

The following information about reported crimes was supplied by the South Whitehall Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

According to South Whitehall police, the following incidents occurred in the township from June 1 to June 6:

Thefts

-- Theft reported at 2:55 p.m. on June 2 in the 3400 block of Broadway; bike taken.

-- Theft reported at 10:31 a.m. on June 3 at Dorney Park; wallet taken the previous day.

-- Theft reported at 11:30 a.m. on June 3 at Parkland High School; cell phone taken.

-- Theft reported at 1:30 p.m. on June 2 at Dorney Park; wallet and cash taken.

-- Theft reported at 6:01 p.m. on June 3 in the 1100 block of Bryant Street; four firearms taken.

Accidents

-- One person was injured in a four-vehicle accident at 2:50 p.m. on June 1 in the 4200 block of Tilghman Street; two vehicles were towed from the scene.

-- One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:31 p.m. on June 1 at Route 309 and Tilghman Street; one vehicle was towed.

-- One person injured in an accident at 4:45 p.m. on June 1 at Tilghman Street and Parkway; one vehicle towed.

Burglary

-- Burglary reported at 9:18 p.m. on June 5 in the 3600 block of Congress Street; jewelry and laptop taken.

Other

 -- Jesse Heck, 31 of Wecosville, was charged June 8 with theft by unlawful taking. Police said five guard rail posts, valued at $215, had been reported stolen at 11:02 a.m. on June 6 on South Whitehall property at 3100 Iron Bridge Road. 

-- Burglar alarm sounded at Vogt’s Jewelers at 10:09 a.m. on June 5; a bird was inside the building.
