'The Devil Wears Prada' Author Plans Sequel
Lauren Weisberger, a former South Whitehall resident and 1995 Parkland High School graduate, is working on a sequel to her best-selling book, "The Devil Wears Prada."

News organizations are reporting that graduate Lauren Weisberger is planning a sequel to her best-selling book, "The Devil Wears Prada."
Cbsnews.com reports that publisher Simon & Schuster announced Thursday that Weisberger's sequel, "Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns," will be released in April 2013.

"The Devil Wears Prada" was released in 2003 and was made into a movie starring Meryl Streep and Ann Hathaway.
Weisberger, formerly of South Whitehall, graduated from Parkland High School in 1995.

According to a bio on her website, she was born in Scranton, moving to the Lehigh Valley in sixth grade. After graduating from Parkland, she went on to Cornell University, then took a job as assistant to the editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour. "The Devil Wears Prada" is believed to be based on that work experience.
