Three Hurt in I-78 Crash in South Whitehall

A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 78 occurred at 2:41 a.m. Monday, May 14, state police at Fogelsville said. A charge does not indicate a conviction.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash early Monday on Interstate 78 westbound in South Whitehall, state police at Fogelsville said.

Somer Porrino, 31, lost control of the car she was driving as she travelled in the right lane, striking the right front of a vehicle in the center lane, state police said. Her car spun and landed on its roof. She was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, along with two passengers in her car, Charles Williams, 43, and Braydan Haskins, also both of Carlisle, state police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, John McDonald, 56, of Oakland, MD, and his two passengers were not injured.

State police charged Porrino with driving too fast for conditions.
