Township Commissioner Writes In Support of David Bond's Candidacy

To the editor:

“This year’s election campaigns are pretty much a one issue show - cut budgets and assure no tax increases.  Yet, the kind of candidate I, and I believe most residents, want is someone who can do much more.  Wanted:  someone with a vision for their municipality, a passion for their community, the experience public and/or private that prepares one for difficult choices that must be made, and with the ability to lead and not just follow. 

South Whitehall is fortunate to have just such a candidate for Township Commissioner in David Bond.   As a Vice-President of a large regional company, his background takes him far beyond just budget management, but into demonstrated leadership, long and short term planning, setting priorities, understanding human resources and making the difficult decisions.  His involvement with his community, as President of Grandlawn baseball, instructing in emergency medical services to South Whitehall fire departments, and as Emergency Medical Technician for Cetronia Ambulance Corps, all provide the experience for understanding first-hand the services and needs of our township.

With not running for re-election, Dave’s experiences most fittingly replace the skills and knowledge of those leaving the board.  Many new and exciting changes have been occurring within South Whitehall over the last few years and Dave Bond can help lead the township through more than just a “no tax increase” future, but a future with a vision.”
