Woman Charged With Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest

Two altercations were among the incidents reported by South Whitehall police Dec. 9-12.

An Allentown woman faces charges after allegedly becoming combative when she accompanied a friend who was checking into an outpatient treatment center at the Roma Corporate Center in South Whitehall, police said. 

Tyesha Rivera, 25, was charged with disorderly conduct, defiant trespass and resisting arrest following the incident about 5:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Pyramid Healthcare offices at 1605 N. Cedar Crest Blvd, South Whitehall police said. An officer reportedly hurt his thumb during the arrest.

Simple Assault: 

Latasha Nelson, 37, of Allentown was charged with simple assault and harrassment after allegedly getting in an altercation with another female at the Rodeway Inn, 1151 Bulldog Drive; reported 11:41 p.m. Dec. 11.

Theft:

Someone stole a wreath from 2526 Helen Street; reported Dec. 11.

Accident: 

Two vehicles collided on Route 309 near Dublin Road, leaving both drivers with minor injuries, according to police. A pickup truck driven by Robin Yoder of Zionsville was traveling south on Rt. 309 when it reportedly rear-ended a vehicle driven by Alfred Bellucci of 6685 Lime Kiln Road in South Whitehall. Yoder told police the sun impaired her vision. 

The accident left Yoder with a cut on her hand and chest pain from the air bag deploying and Bellucci reported moderate back pain, police said. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
