Zumba, Gym and Swim Programs Begin This Week

The South Whitehall Parks & Recreation department, in conjunction with the Parkland School District, continues its programming this week.

The programs are open to residents of the . 

Among the offerings:

* FAMILY SWIM

When: Sunday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 15, 22 and 29; Feb. 19 and 26; March 4, 11, 18 and 25. The pool is closed Feb. 5.

Where:  pool

Other: Advance registration not required. Registration is at the door. 

Cost: None

Age: Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

* OPEN PLAY BASKETBALL

 When: Sunday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 15, 22 and 29; Feb. 5, 19 and 26; March 4, 11, 18 and 25. The gym is closed Feb. 12. 

Where: Parkland High School main gym 

Cost: None

Other: Advance registration is not required. Registration is at the door.

Age: Open to ages 16 and older

* OPEN GYM

 When: Sunday afternoons between 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 15, 22 and 29; Feb. 5, 19 and 26; March 4, 11, 18 and 25. The gym is closed Feb. 12. 

Where: Parkland High School auxiliary gym 

Ages: Open to ages 15 and under

Other: Advance registration is not required. Registration is at the door.

Cost: None

The following classes require advanced registration, which is available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the South Whitehall administration building. 

* WINTER ZUMBA

Location:

When: Tuesdays 7 to 8 p.m.; Jan. 17, 24 and 31; Feb. 7, 14 and 21.

Where: cafeteria 

Instructor: Jenn Roth 

Cost:  Six classes for $35 

* WINTER AEROBICS CLASS

When: Wednesdays 7 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 18 and 25; Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; March 7.

Where: Recreation Building (Wehr Dam Hall) 

Instructor: Lisa Parrish 

Cost: Eight classes for $35
