Sabold Elementary's 5th Grade Triplets Named Students of the Month

Casey, Adam and Danielle are intelligent, articulate and enthusiastic learners.

The Springfield School District May Students of the Month are the Short triplets, fifth graders at Sabold Elementary School. Casey, Adam and Danielle are intelligent, articulate and enthusiastic learners each with a unique and interesting personality.

The Short’s are in three different fifth grade homerooms, but do share the same math class. They truly enjoy being triplets, except maybe when they can’t decide on what TV show to watch at home. Casey, Adam and Danielle live with their lizard, Jim, dog, Spencer, dad, who works in the technology sector, and their mom who is working on earning her teaching certificate.

After spending their elementary careers at Sabold, they have many fond memories of fun events, teachers and friends.

Adam has loved the Sabold gym shows with Mr. Lupoli and thinks Science class in the best because of the fun experiments.

Casey thinks the teachers at Sabold have made the most memories for her and also thinks Science class in the best.

Danielle likes Language Arts the best because she is so fond of reading and writing. Her favorite memory of Sabold is arriving on her first day, she said. “Everyone was so nice to us – Sabold is great!”

Each of the triplets has career aspirations that match their different personalities. After attending college, Adam wants to be a professional baseball player; Casey wants to be a teacher; and Danielle wants to attend college and then become a pastry chef.

The Short’s are looking forward to their transition to ETR in sixth grade; they are both excited and a little anxious, having been at Sabold for so long.

The staff at the Sabold think each of the Short children are special. Elise Baiocchi, the Short’s math teacher said, “I have had the pleasure to meet three hard working, happy, and dedicated students this year. Adam, Casey, and Danielle have each brought their own unique style and wonderful personality to my class this year. I will certainly never forget them.”

The school counselor Joan Taylor shared, “They are friendly and outgoing and get along with others very easily. They are always interested and enthusiastic about learning and often lend a hand to those in need. I appreciate their contribution to our school.”

Sabold’s principal Cindy Mattei said, “It has been a pleasure to watch the Short triplets grow and change over the past five years. They have been wonderful students here at Sabold, each bringing their own unique gifts to our school community.”

For these reasons and many more, please celebrate the Springfield School District May Students of the Month: Casey, Adam and Danielle Short.
