66 Delco Centenarians To Be Honored Wednesday
Marion Roth, 108, will be the oldest person at the party. She says butter, potato chips, and cheese keeps her going.
Delaware County will honor its residents who have lived a century on Wednesday, May 17. All 66 residents who are now 100 years old or older will be treated to a party at Drexelbrook Events Center in Drexel Hill.
The party will be held at 11 a.m. and will include 108-year-old Marion Roth, of White Horse Village in Newtown Township and Margaret White, 99, of Ridley Township.
Roth, who will be the oldest at the party, credits her longevity to eating lots of cheese, butter, and potato chips.

White helped transport seminary students from Calvary Baptist Church to Mount Pleasant Church in Twin Oaks, according to the county. One of those students was the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
A handful of local veterans will be present as well.
