6th Annual Ski-A-Thon in Memory of Teddy Bedrossian

Delaware County Memorial Hospital Sponsors 6th Annual Ski-A-Thon in Memory of Teddy Bedrossian at Blue Mountain Resort on Mar. 13

The 6th Annual Ski-A-Thon in Memory of Teddy Bedrossian is scheduled for Sunday, Mar. 13 at the Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, Pa. Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH)recently committed as a “slope sponsor” to continue their annual support of the event that raises funds for children with special needs at Elwyn.

The Ski-A-Thon was founded in memory of Teddy Bedrossian, a former student at Elwyn, and the late son of Edward Bedrossian Jr., M.D., chief of Ophthalmology Surgery at DCMH. Teddy was an adorable, medically fragile boy with special needs. Even though doctors predicted he would only live to be three months old when he was born, Teddy thrived for 18 years while attending Elwyn’s Davidson School. Unable to talk or hear, he brought an indescribable richness to everyone he met through his acts of kindness and his contagious smile! Teddy passed away in 2007 of kidney failure but he touched the lives of so many at Elwyn.

On Mar. 13, event check in at Blue Mountain Resort starts at 8 a.m. with the Ski-A-Thon scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m followed by a lunch reception and awards ceremony that will conclude at 3 p.m. The reception and awards ceremony will include live entertainment, a silent auction, raffle and fun awards. These awards include most creative team name, most sponsorship dollars for an individual and team, funkiest snow hat, and most runs skiing/snowboarding/snow tubing for individuals and teams.
