Aqua to Close Two Roads for Water Main Replacement
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas. The schedules are dependent on the weather.

Aqua Pennsylvania is planning weekday closures next month on Fairview Road in Swarthmore Borough, and Springfield and Ridley townships, and Saxer Avenue in Springfield Township, Delaware County, for water main replacements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) on Monday announced.
The work schedule is:

• Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Jan. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fairview Road will be closed between Route 320 (Chester Road) and Park Lane Road. During this weekday operation, Fairview Road motorists will be detoured over MacDade Boulevard/22nd Street, Providence Road and Route 320 (Chester Road); and
• Wednesday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saxer Avenue will be closed between Baltimore Pike and Evans Road. During this weekday operation, Saxer Avenue motorists will be detoured over Baltimore Pike, Woodland Avenue and Powell Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zones. Aqua Pennsylvania will complete both projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
