Assault, Gun, More Charges Filed After Springfield Domestic Dispute

Springfield Police said they charged a man with various crimes after he ran from them as they responded to a call about a domestic incident.

SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township charged a man with assault, gun crimes, and more after a domestic incident Monday.

According to police, officers were called to the area of the 800 block of West Rolling Road at about 2:56 p.m. Monday for a report of a domestic dispute.

Callers told authorities the parties involved were in a vehicle in the area.

Springfield and Marple police officers found the vehicle West Rolling Road.

There, police said a man ran from police on foot, leading police to chase him on the 400 block of Ridge Lane and into Doe Run Park.

Police found the man hiding in bushes on the A-Jon Construction property on Eagle Road.

Police found a firearm on the man.

According to police, the man was also found to have several outstanding arrest warrants from other jurisdictions.

Police did not release the suspect's name.
