Blotter: $5K in Construction Equipment Stolen
Plus: A watch and a cell phone were each stolen in separate thefts.

Theft—the new Miller Ale House site in the unit block of Baltimore Pike between Oct. 27-31. The construction crew working at the site reported that someone entered the site and cut the locks on three storage bins. The unknown persons took numerous tools as well as a large quantity of assorted wiring. The entry to the site appears to have been through a section of fencing that had apparently been blown over during Hurricane Sandy. The stolen items were valued in excess of $5,000.
Theft—Rodeway Inn between 11:30 a.m. and 12:09 p.m. on Nov. 3. An Oceanside, California resident reported that someone entered his room and stole a watch from the top of the bureau. The watch was valued at $400.

Retail Theft—Zumiez Store in the Springfield Mall between noon and 2 p.m. on Nov. 3. A Wallingford resident reported someone stole his Samsung Galaxy S3 cellular phone from the counter at the store. The phone was valued at $350.
