Buttonwood Drive Resident Reports Shattered Windshield and More Vehicle Damage

July 20: A resident from the 700 Blk. of Buttonwood Dr. reported that sometime over the last few days someone did significant damage to his vehicle while it was parked on the street in front of his home. The damage consisted of a shattered windshield and dents to all of the fenders around the vehicle.

Man Charged After Patrolman Smells Pot in Cromwell Park

July 20: While on patrol in the area of on North Ave. Patrolman Stephen Hurwitz observed a suspicious occupied vehicle. As he approached the vehicle, an odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. The investigation showed that a quantity of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. A 23-year-old Clifton Heights man was taken into custody and transported to the . He was charged with Violations Of The Health & Safety Act. The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.

Thomson Avenue Resident Reports Banana Thrown Through Front Window

July 21: A resident from the 400 Blk. of E. Thomson Ave. reported that sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 11:04 p.m. someone threw a banana through a window on the front door of the home.

Man Charged With DUI After Patrolman Spots Vehicle on Baltimore Pike

July 22: While on patrol in the area of Baltimore Pk. and Woodland Ave. Patrolman Daniel Boyd observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner. The vehicle was stopped and the operator, a 23-year-old Secane resident was found to be intoxicated. He was taken to Springfield Hospital and had blood drawn. He was later released from the hospital to a relative. He was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and related Motor Vehicle Violations. The incident is under  investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.

Driver, Passenger Charged After Vehicle Stopped on Baltimore Pike

July 23: While on patrol in the area of Baltimore Pk. and Woodland Ave. Patrolman Daniel Boyd observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner. The vehicle was stopped and the operator, a 25-year-old Eddystone resident was found to be intoxicated. The investigation also showed that a passenger in the vehicle, a 31-year-old Media resident was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The operator was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the . The passenger was taken into custody and transported to the Springfield Police Station. The operator was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and Motor Vehicle Violations. The passenger was charged with Violations Of The Health & Safety Act. The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley.
