Blotter: iPhone, Gifts, CDs Stolen from Multiple Cars

Car windows were smashed or the cars were unlocked in each of the thefts.

The following information was supplied by the Springfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—800 block of Garrett Lane at about 9:10 a.m. Nov. 26. A resident reported that sometime during the night someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a silver Seiko watch, the owner's manual for the vehicle and numerous CD's, while the vehicle was parked on the street in front of the home.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—Springfield Square South Shopping Center in the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike between 12:30 and 2:26 p.m. on Nov. 26. A Clifton Heights resident reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole an Apple iPhone, two wooden picture frames, a computer ink cartridge and candle holders, while the vehicle was parked in the lot.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—Michael's Craft Store in the 600 block of Baltimore Pike between 2:15 and 3:59 p.m. on Nov. 26. A Springfield resident reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole five shopping bags containing Christmas gifts, while the vehicle was parked in the lot. 

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—Olive Garden parking lot in the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike between 12:15 and 1:17 p.m. on Dec. 1. A Sharon Hill resident reported that someone forcibly entered his vehicle and stole a Dell lap top computer with assorted work documents, while the vehicle was parked in the lot. Entry was made to the vehicle by breaking the rear window on the driver's side. The lap top was valued at $1,000.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle—Olive Garden parking lot in the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike between 11:50 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. on Dec. 1. A Folsom resident reported that someone forcibly entered her vehicle and stole a gym bag filled with clothes, while the vehicle was parked in the lot. Entry was made to the vehicle by smashing the front passenger's side window. The items were valued at $100.
