Blotter: Used Cooking Oil Stolen From Famous Dave’s

24-Year-Old Charged With DUI

August 15: While on patrol in the area of Baltimore Pike and Woodland Avenue, Patrolman Daniel Boyd observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner. The vehicle was stopped and the operator, a 24-year-old Upper Darby man, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the . He was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and related Motor Vehicle Violations. The incident is under investigation by Detective Robert Nutley. The actor was later released to a relative.

Used Cooking Oil Stolen From Famous Dave’s

August 16: reported that sometime between 8 a.m. and 8:27 a.m. someone stole 2 large barrels of cooking oil that were placed there to be recycled. The oil is valued in excess of $200.

19-Year-Old Cited For $18 Retail Theft From Macy’s

August 16: Security reported that they had a male in custody for Retail Theft at the store. Patrolman Dante Annacone responded and took a 19-year-old Upper Darby man into custody and transported him to the . He was issued a citation for Retail Theft for taking $18 worth of merchandise from the store. He was later released to a relative. Detective Robert Nutley is handling the investigation.

Driver Flees After Striking Utility Pole on Woodland

August 17: Springfield Police received a report that a vehicle struck a utility pole in the Unit block of E. Woodland Avenue and the vehicle fled the scene. Patrolman Daniel Boyd responded and a witness provided Patrolman Boyd with the vehicle’s registration number. The pole sustained significant damage.

Patrolman Boyd provided the information to local police departments and a short time later Swarthmore Police were notified of a damaged vehicle traveling in the area with metal hanging off of it. The area was checked and the vehicle was located in the 600 block of Tasker Avenue in Folsom, Pa.

Patrolman Boyd responded to the address and after speaking with the a 24-year-old Folsom man, it was determined that he was intoxicated and he admitted to being in the area of the accident. He was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the . He was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and related Motor Vehicle Violations. He was later released to a relative. Detective Robert Nutley is handling the  investigation.
