Continuing in the series (Alphabet Soup for Nuts), B is for boy, Nancy - as in, Oh boy, she's shooting off her mouth again, jumping to conclusions and beating a dead horse. Is this the only exercise this woman gets?! Or, perhaps, her Grace is simply the Arch-villain of Liars - justice requires that we see the three fingers pointing back at ourselves whenever we point just one at another.
One of the most intriguing expressions, which dates back to the American Revolution is "Bring it (Redcoats.)" This one injunction seems to satisfy male braggadocio and female inclusiveness ("Our church is full of hypocrites, but there's always room for one more") alike. You can take it like a man, or accept it like a mother of five.
Yet, there's an implication that goes along with "Bring It" - namely, that we can take it. I have spent almost two months now arguing that, in fact, we can't and shouldn't take anything more than we need for human solidarity and personal sanity.

Maybe we should heed the repeated calls from MC's to "Give It Up, Y'all" and trust that if we give ourselves over to right living, we won't be as likely to bring on ourselves wrong longing.
