As we face the first heat wave of the year, I don't need to remind you that it's not the heat but the humidity. But why? Is it something like the high school dances of yore when the DJ played at least three fast-dance songs in a row before putting on a long-playing slow-dance song? That was an experience of more humidity than heat!
But maybe the situation is more mysterious, like when dad turned the window fan to blow air out instead of into the house. Then again, it might involve a secret - like the one mom used when baking instead of cooking (hint: cold v. hot prep.)
I must admit that I really do not understand the whole humidity thing; but I'm awfully suspicious of the melting ice caps as the reason we and the polar bears are suffering these days.
