SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter recently.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Jan. 3 and Jan. 8.

Jan. 3 at 4:27 p.m.
Vandalism was found on the trash dumpsters and storage garage at The Players Club, 600 block of Fairview Road.
Jan. 4 at 6:01 p.m.
A resident of the 200 block of Gleaves Road reported a delivery package had been tampered and the item stolen from inside.
Jan. 5 at 12:01 p.m.
A vacant business in the Springfield Shopping Center had its door pried open. Although vacant, the property was being used to store equipment. Nothing appeared to have been taken. Det. Cutcliff is investigating.
Jan. 5 at 6:59 p.m.
An employee at a sales kiosk inside Springfield Mall reported a purse was stolen from a backpack sometime between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. as she worked. Unauthorized transactions had been made on her credit cards at stores in Philadelphia. Det. McNeely is investigating.
Jan. 8 at 9:47 p.m.
A vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation by Ofc. Lord. On the 800 block of Baltimore Pike. The driver, 38-year-old male from Springfield, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and submitted to a blood test. He was later released to family, and charges for DUI and traffic offenses are pending.
