Burglary, DUI, Theft, Vandalism, More: Springfield Crime Blotter
Police said a 36-year-old Springfield woman has DUI charges pending after a crash on the 700 block of West Sproul Road.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Oct. 31 and Nov. 6.

Oct. 31 at 5:51 p.m.
A 26-year-old female from Atco, New Jersey, will be charged with Retail Theft after Macy’s security at the mall reported she stole over $420 worth of clothing.
Oct. 21 at 10:18 p.m.
A member at LAFitness reported that sometime during a workout, someone stole money and items from his backpack which was stored in an unlocked locker.

Nov. 1 at 11:34 p.m.
Officers investigated a crash in which a vehicle struck another in the rear along the 700 block of West Sproul Road. The driver of the striking vehicle, 36-year-old female from Springfield, was found to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody and did submit to a blood test. She was later released, and charges for DUI are pending.
Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m.
A 35-year-old female from Clifton Heights was taken into custody after Target security, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported she stole over $800 worth of electronics. Responding officers stopped her in the parking lot. She was found to have active arrest warrants from Montgomery County and was later turned over to them. Charges for Retail Theft will be filed.
Nov. 4 at 6:45 a.m.
A resident of the 1000 block of West Avenue reported sometime overnight someone entered his parked vehicle and rummaged through the interior. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
Nov. 6 at 11:36 p.m.
Officers investigated a crash in which a vehicle struck another on Sproul Road near Woodland Avenue. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 74-year-old male from Prospect Park, was found to be intoxicated and taken into custody. He submitted to a blood test and was later released. Charges for DUI are pending.
Nov. 6 at 1:35 a.m.
Officers responded to the ISmoke Shop, 400 block of Baltimore Pike, to investigate a burglary. The front glass door had been smashed and several pairs of sneakers stolen. Det. Cutcliff is investigating.
Nov. 6 at 10:37 a.m.
A resident of the 200 block of Hillview Drive reported two rocks had been thrown at his vehicle parked on the street in front of the house. The rocks caused damage to the door of the vehicle. Det. Cutcliff is investigating.
Nov. 6 at 11:56 a.m.
A resident reported his parked, unlocked vehicle was entered sometime overnight on the 300 block of Ridgewood Road. Nothing appeared to have been taken.
