Camp COLEY Cares FOOD DRIVE April 18, 2015

Camp COLEY Cares will hold a food drive April 18, 2015 from 2pm – 4pm during the annual Camp COLEY Fun Day

Camp COLEY Cares, the community service branch of Camp COLEY, will hold a food drive April 18, 2015 from 2pm – 4pm during their annual Fun Day Open House at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation. Everyone that participates and donates a non-perishable food item will be entered into a raffle to win a basket of goodies. All collected food will be donated to a local food bank. Please bring non-perishable canned goods or dry food to the Camp Somers parking lot at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation – 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope, NJ. Follow the road to the top of the hill. The parking lot is on the left just past the lake on the right.

This year’s Fun Day Open House theme is Halloween! Meet Camp COLEY staff, leaders and CITs (counselors in training) and enjoy a great day of food and spooktacular fun. Fun Day is open to all boys and girls grades 3rd—12th, and their parents. You do not need to be a Scout to attend. The cost is $5 and includes Halloween themed activities and camp games, camp songs, BBQ dinner, parent session and an evening campfire with s’mores! Camp COLEY is a week-long overnight camp open to girls and boys entering grades 3-12 and offers a fully supervised day and night program. Age appropriate activities include swimming, boating, first aid, ecology, outdoor skills, hiking, crafts, rock climbing, all-terrain vehicles, shooting sports, COPE, sports, games, songs, campfires and a Thursday night dance with a DJ.

Campers are divided by grade level and gender, and are supervised by Camp COLEY counselors as well as the Boy Scout staff as they visit the various program areas throughout camp. Campers sleep in 2 person tents on cots. Shower facilities are provided and hot meals are provided daily in the dining hall. Camp is held at Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation, Camp Somers in Stanhope, NJ. Camp COLEY is an Exploring Post with Learning for Life, Patriots Path Council, Boy Scouts of America.
