Catalytic Converter Theft, Vandalism, Drugs: Springfield Crime Blotter
Police reported three catalytic converter thefts over the past week. See details on these incidents and more here.
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between April 24 and April 29.

April 24 at 11:01 a.m.
A resident reported the catalytic converter was stolen from a Volkswagen vehicle overnight as it was parked on Alford Road near Harwicke Road.
April 24 at 1:44 p.m.
Two subjects; a 25-year-old male from Philadelphia and a 21-year-old female from Aldan were taken into custody after stealing 10 cans of baby formula from Target 800 block of Baltimore Pike. Both were processed and released. Charges for Retail Theft will be filed.

April 24 at 7:20 a.m.
A resident of the 400 block of Briarhill Road reported the catalytic converter stolen from a Volkswagen vehicle sometime overnight as it was parked on the street.
April 25 at 12:16 p.m.
A 71-year-old male from Drexel Hill was taken into custody for stealing $120 worth of toys from Target at the mall. The male was later released, and charges for Retail Theft will be filed.
April 26 at 7:03 p.m.
A woman shopping at Giant, 700 block of West Sproul Road, reported she was distracted by a female who kept asking for her help locating products when someone stole her wallet from her shopping cart. She later found unauthorized purchases on her credit cards.
April 26 at 7:31 p.m.
Two subjects, a 36-year-old male from Pocono Lake and a 36-year-old female from Springfield, were found intoxicated along the creek bed in the rear of Red Lobster unit block of Baltimore Pike. Drug paraphernalia was found in their possession, and both had arrest warrants from PA Probation and Delaware County. Both were taken into custody and turned over to sheriffs. Charges are pending.
April 27 at 8:17 a.m.
Several unlocked vehicles were entered in the area of the 300 block of Foulke Lane and a vehicle was stolen from one of the residences sometime overnight. Nothing appeared missing from the other vehicles.
April 28 at 9:52 a.m.
Two unlocked vehicles were entered overnight on the 300 block of Hemlock Lane and Ridge Lane. Wallets were taken from inside.
April 28 at 12:17 p.m.
The property manager of the Olde Sproul Shopping Center reported that several juveniles damaged the fence in the rear of the property by kicking out panels at about 11 p.m. on April 22.
April 29 at 12:38 a.m.
A resident of the 100 block of North Hillcrest Road reported he observed a male enter his vehicle parked in the driveway. The male rummaged the interior but did not take anything. He was described as white male wearing a purple sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and white shoes.
April 29 at 4:56 p.m.
A catalytic converter was stolen off a Mitsubishi vehicle as it was parked in the Springfield Mall lot near Carrabbas Restaurant.
