
Damiere Shaw was ready to explode. The senior had not played in close to a year. A concussion shortened last season, forcing him out the final four games of last season. A sinus infection and a strike delayed his start this season, before the 5-foot-11, 175-pound running back/defensive back got a chance to step on the field.
When he did, he made it count. Shaw only played one half in OβHaraβs 39-0 demolition of Neumann-Goretti, though he rushed for 98 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries. Heβs happy to get it over and get back into football mode. The Lions host Roman Catholic on Saturday at 2 p.m.
