Delco Man Busted With $400K Of Narcotics, $244K In Cash: DA
The Chester man had two kilos of cocaine and 10 pounds of marijuana on him when he was arrested Dec. 14.
CHESTER, PA — A Chester man was caught with hundreds of thousands of dollars in cocaine and marijuana in a recent bust, according to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office.
Delaware County District Attorney Katayoun M. Copeland and Commissioner Otis Blair of the Chester Police Department announced today that Breon Lamar Chambers, 31, of Chester, has been arrested and is facing drug trafficking charges.
Chamber was arrested after an investigation by the Chester Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Drug Task Force.

Authorities seized about $244,000 in cash, more than two kilograms of cocaine, and ten pounds of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia consistent with the sale of narcotics. In total, the seizure of narcotics has an estimated street value of $300,000 to $400,000.
Chambers is charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia charges, the DA's office said.

At about 1 p.m. on Dec. 14, Officer Marc Barag was conducting hidden surveillance of Chambers' West 4th Street in Chester before to executing a search warrant at the home.
Then at about 3:15 p.m., the Chester Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Delaware County CID Drug Task Force executed the search warrant at Chambers' home.
Chambers was in the home and detained.
Authorities found a black Puma duffel bag filled with approximately $244,000 cash in various denominations, the DA's office said.
Officers also found another sports bag filled with various items of drug trafficking paraphernalia, including a large digital scale, numerous new and unused sandwich bags, and a bottle of cutting agent, according to the DA's office.
Authorities more than two kilograms of cocaine and ten vacuum sealed bags each — containing one pound of marijuana, for a total weight of approximately ten pounds — for a total estimated street value of $300,000 to $400,000 of controlled substances, the DA's office said.
He was remanded to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility after failing to post $500,000 cash bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 3, 2019.
