Delco Mommies Plan Fun Fair to Benefit Ertle Family

The Family Fun Fair June 9 at First Presbyterian Church is Delco Mommies latest effort to help the Ertle family learn to live without their mother and wife, who died from liver cancer.

Delco Mommies, a Delaware County-based organization focused on enriching the lives of its children, building friendships and serving the community, is holding its first June 9 from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. at to raise money for the Tara Ertle’s Children Education Trust.

Gabriel, 5, and Madeline, 3, Ertle lost their mother, Tara, to stage four liver cancer in February at the young age of 35. Tara was diagnosed with her terminal disease shortly after Madeline’s birth. She put up a courageous fight and defied the odds and her doctors’ expectations for two-and-a-half years.

Since her death, her friends have banded together to support the family in every way possible. The Family Fun Fair is Delco Mommies latest effort to assist the Ertle family without Tara.

Organizers of the “Tara’s Favorite Things” Family Fun Fair promise no shortage of fun and fantastic bargains at the first-annual event in honor of their recently-deceased member and friend.

The benefit fair will be filled with all of the things loved most by Tara, including a children’s outgrown clothing sale with nothing priced more than $1, games and entertainment, local small business owners, raffle baskets and more.

There will be entertainment for children including Makin’ Music, face painting, inflatable jumpers, finger printing. Raffle baskets will have Philadelphia 76ers gear. Maybe you will win the signed Philadelphia Eagles helmet, skin care and cosmetics or Buena Cepa Wines. Be sure to check out the baked goods sale and more.

Visit the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield at 365 Summit Road on Saturday, June 9 from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. to help this cause.
