Delco Woman Left 1-Year-Old In Car As She Shopped: Police
A 33-year-old woman is facing resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a child, and recklessly endangering another person.

UPPER DARBY, PA — An Upper Darby woman is facing charged after police say she left a young child in a vehicle while she shopped.
According to Upper Darby Police, Denae Chavous, 33, was arrested after leaving a 1-year-old child unattended inside of a vehicle while she shopped for more than 15 minutes on Aug. 14.
She is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child, recklessly endangering another person, and resisting arrest, according to court documents.

Police said the child was in distress when officers arrived on scene.
She was released on $30,000 unsecured bail and is slated for an Aug. 27 preliminary hearing, court records show.
