3 In Custody In Carjacking Just Outside Of Delco: Police

The incident occurred just outside the Delaware County border in West Philadelphia. Watch footage of the suspects here.

Philadelphia Police have taken three people into custody in connection with an assault and carjacking incident that occurred just outside of Delaware County on Oct. 20, police said.

While police said arrests have not been made, three people are in custody related to the violent carjacking.

One suspect, who pulled the gun on the driver, is reportedly 13 years old while the other suspect who drove the car away is 16. Little is known about the third suspect at this time, according to 6ABC.

According to police, the incident occurred at about 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 outside the Lukoil Gas Station at 5748 Baltimore Ave. in West Philadelphia.

A pizza delivery driver was making a delivery to the gas station when a man armed with a handgun approached him outside the store.

The man then pointed a gun at the 56-year-old delivery driver, knocked him unconscious with the gun, and another man got into the car and drove off.

The vehicle is a Chevy Prism and was last seen on the 5700 block of Baltimore Avenue.

The man who knocked the driver out rifled through the victim's pockets as he laid unconscious in the street before fleeing east on Baltimore Avenue.

The victim suffered severe head injuries and was unconscious for several days while at Presbyterian Hospital, police said.

Police said the people involved in the crime were a group of five black males ranging in age from 14 to 25 years old.

The public should not approach the suspects if they are spotted. Instead, the public should call 911.
