Dog Attack, DUI Crash, Thefts, More: Springfield Crime Blotter
Police said a Secane woman was charged in connection with a dog attack that occurred in Netherwood Park last week. See details here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Feb. 20 and Feb. 26.

Feb. 20 at 11:10 a.m.
Officers investigated a dog bite incident at Netherwood Park in which a resident walking his dog was attacked by two dogs near the baseball field. The two dogs (Doberman and Pitbull) and their owner (21-year-old female from Secane) were identified a few days later. The owner will be charged with Harboring a Vicious Dog and township ordinance violations.
Feb. 20 at 8 p.m.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of Westwood Drive for a report of a suspicious person on a property. Investigation revealed that a male driving his vehicle struck a parked car on the block of which broke his wheel and then drove into a driveway scraping the ground. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. The 50-year-old male from Boothwyn submitted to a blood test and was later released. Charges for DUI will be filed.

Feb. 21 at 2:05 p.m.
Best Buy 600 block of Baltimore Pike reported two subjects had stolen an Xbox controller and a speaker and left the store. Responding officers located the suspects inside a vehicle in the motel lot next door and recovered the stolen merchandise. A 36-year-old woman and 35-year-old man, both of New Castle, Delaware, were charged with Retail Theft.
Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.
Target security, 800 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a male subject in their custody after they observed him steal over $240 worth of electronics, sporting goods and food. Delsean Graham, 31, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody, charged with Retail Theft and released.
Feb. 25 at 7:20 p.m.
A vehicle window was smashed in the parking lot of Springfield Mall while the owner shopped inside the mall between 6:40 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Nothing was taken from inside the vehicle.
Feb. 25 at 7:36 p.m.
Two subjects damaged the infant changing table in the bathroom at Slacks Hoagie Shack. 100 block of Baltimore Pike, and fled the area on foot.
Feb. 25 at 7:39 p.m.
Macy’s security at the mall reported a male subject had concealed over $1,000 worth of Polo clothing and fled the store. The male was apprehended in the parking lot and taken into custody. The 39-year-old from Wilmington will be charged with Retail Theft.
Feb. 26 at 6:15 p.m.
A 39-year-old female from Philadelphia was charged with Retail Theft after she was observed by Macy’s security at the mall stealing close to $500 worth of clothing. She was taken into custody, arraigned and released on bail.
