A Philadelphia man was taken into custody after he refused to leave a business and challenged police to a fight. See the full blotter here.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — Police in Springfield Township issued their weekly crime blotter Monday.
Incidents in the blotter occurred between Sept. 12 and Sept. 17.

Sept. 12 at 1:55 p.m.
Macy’s security at the mall reported two females stole Polo clothing and fled on foot through the parking lot. Officers observed the females and tracked one down after a foot chase on the 1100 block of Baltimore Pike. The other female was stopped and released at the scene. A 25 year old from Woodlyn was taken into custody and processed. She will be charged with Retail Theft.
Sept. 12 at 2:41 p.m.
Macy’s security at the mall reported that a male had just taken clothing and ran out of the store. Officers saw the suspect and tracked him down after a foot chase across Baltimore Pike. He was taken into custody and processed. A 25 year old from Philadelphia will be charged with Retail Theft.

Sept. 13 at 12:01 p.m.
CVS employees, 300 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a female stole candy and socks and left the store. Responding officers found the female on Andrew Road and took her into custody. She was arraigned and later transported to Delaware County Prison.
Sept. 13 at 3:17 p.m.
While on patrol, officers observed two subjects exit the CVS, 300 block of Baltimore Pike, with employees following behind. The employees reported the two had just stolen merchandise. Both subjects were stopped and found to have soap, underwear, and an iced tea that they had stolen from the store. They both were also found to have active arrest warrants from Philadelphia and Delaware counties. They were charged with Retail Theft and turned over to constables for transport to Delaware County Prison.
Sept. 14 at 3:18 p.m.
Officers responded to Reedman Toll Dodge, 700 block of Baltimore Pike, for a report that a fired employee was refusing to leave the business and was acting disorderly. Responding officers made contact with the subject inside the business, and he began to threaten officers and challenge them to a fight. After refusing to stop his actions and leave, officers attempted to take him into custody. He fled onto Baltimore Pike before being taken into custody. Davon Cummings, 31, of Philadelphia, was charged with Threats, Disorderly Conduct, and resisting arrest and held for arraignment.
Sept. 15 at 10:31 a.m.
Giant employees, 900 block of Baltimore Pike, reported a male had stolen a bottle of wine from the store and left on Baltimore Pike. on a SEPTA bus. Officers stopped the bus and took the male into custody. He was also found to have stolen from the Wine and Spirits Store and was in possession of an amount of marijuana. The 33 year old from Philadelphia will be charged with Retail Theft and drug offenses.
Sept. 16 at 10:51 a.m.
A 43-year-old male from Philadelphia was treated for a possible drug overdose on State Road at Rolling Road. The male was found to have an active arrest warrant from Brookhaven PD, and he was taken into custody and turned over to them.
Sept. 16 at 3:19 p.m.
Malcolm Cox, 33, of Levittown, was taken into custody after he attempted to enter a house on the 200 block of Midland Road without authorization. Cox ran from the property when confronted and was located at Scenic Road at Midland Road. Cox appeared intoxicated on narcotics. He was charged with Public Drunkenness and held until sober.
Sept. 17 at 1 a.m.
Officers investigated a disorderly subject in the area of Waverly Road and Yale Avenue. Two males had been involved in an incident inside a house, which continued into the street outside until police arrived. One of the males continued to act disorderly outside and threatened officers with a knife and paintball gun and threatened them verbally. This investigation is continuing by Det. Nutley, and charges are pending.
Sept. 17 at 9:54 a.m.
A resident of the unit block of Greenhill Road reported his fence in the rear of the property was damaged sometime overnight. Panels of the fence appeared to have been kicked. This fence secures the property from Walsh Park.
Sept. 17 at 2:24 p.m.
The Giant Store, 700 block of West Sproul Road, reported two males pushed two shopping carts containing a large amount of seafood out of the store, failing to pay for the food. They entered a vehicle and fled on Sproul Road. Det. Nutley is investigating.
