‘Bids for Kids’ Auction

Family Support Line will host its annual Bids for Kids fund-raising event on March 2 at 6 p.m. at the Drexelbrook Corporate Events Center in Drexel Hill.

This event, which annually attracts 250 guests, will feature fine artwork and crafts created by local artists in addition to a range of silent auction items. Family Support Line is currently welcoming attendees, corporate sponsors, consignment artists and silent auction donations to once again make the event a success.

A new addition this year is the opportunity for guests to bid on three outstanding trips: a three-night Las Vegas trip; a four-night, golfing-themed trip to Scotland, and a four-night Sonoma wine-themed trip.

Located in Media and serving the Greater Philadelphia area for nearly 25 years, Family Support Line is a leading resource in the region for the prevention, treatment and professional training in the field of child sexual abuse.  Each year, Family Support Line reaches more than 10,000 individuals through its programs.  Prevention programs help children to stay safe while treatment programs provide care and support to victims of child sexual abuse.  

Additional information about Bids for Kids:

• This year’s event will feature work from local artists.  Family Support Line is now accepting a range of works, including fine art, photography, sculpture, jewelry and more. Artists can donate items to the auction or place them on consignment.
• The silent auction will include beautifully packaged goods and services including trips, restaurant and theater gift certificates, wine and cheese baskets, sports memorabilia, jewelry, home décor items and much more.
• Organizations or individuals wishing to support Bids for Kids and Family Support Line can also purchase sponsorships or advertisements in the event’s program book.
• Tickets to attend the event – which includes a fabulous buffet and an opportunity to bid on the artwork and silent auction items - are $50.
