Delaware County Senior Resource Forum

Forum helps senior citizens navigate tough economic times

Senior citizens – living on a fixed income and facing mounting medical bills - can be hard hit during a recession. In Delaware County, a Senior Citizens Resource Forum is being held 1-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, to inform seniors about the services available that can help them weather today’s tough economic climate.

There will be a panel of six representatives who will detail programs that can assist seniors, including the county Office of Services for the Aging, the District Attorney’s Senior Exploitation Unit,  the Tax Claim Bureau, and Veterans Affairs. We will also have resource tables set up by Consumer Credit Counseling Services, the Community Action Agency and the County Department of Intercommunity Health (who will supply Trustscript prescription discount cards).
