Cub Scouting is fun and provides a positive family experience for both son and parent. Enjoy making new friends, camping, pinewood derby, sports, games, community projects, crafts, parades, trips and much more. Our scouting adventure resumes again this fall. Pack 240 recruits from the Sabold Elementary neighborhoods but all are welcome. Our brother pack, Pack 503 recruits from the Scenic Hills Elementary neighborhoods. This will be Pack 240's 53rd year of scouting here in Springfield.
- Camping: Two pack weekend camping trips to Maryland each scouting year.
- Sleepover at a museum each year. Last year was Franklin Institute. This year' destination to be determined by Webelos scouts. Most likely Phila. Zoo or Battleship New Jersey.
- Game and sleepover at a Wilmington Blue Rocks'
- Community Service
- Annual Food Drive
- Smedley Park Creek Cleanup
- March in St. Patrick's day parade, pack pizza parties and an End of Year Picnic and Rain Gutter Regatta
