Former Delco Principal Charged With Child Sex Crimes

SPRINGFIELD, PA — A former Delaware County elementary school principal has been charged with child sex crimes after students told authorities they were touched inappropriately by him in the past.

Former Primos Elementary School Principal Jonathan Wisneski, 43, of Springfield, has been charged with sexual contact with a student, endangering the welfare of a child, and indecent assault, court records show.

Wisneski is still in custody after failing to post 10 percent of $150,000 bail, according to court documents.

The charges stem from incidents in 2018, which is when Wisneski left the Upper Darby School District.

Allegations of inappropriate behavior arose in 2018, and no criminal charges were filed but he was ousted from the district, Fox 29 reports.

But this month, new information from alleged victims came to fruition which led to the charges, according to NBC10.

Wisneski has been placed on leave by his current employer, Devereux CARES in Downingtown, Action News reports.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 1, court records show.
