John Vanore & Abstract Truth Play Friday Night Live
Community Arts Center welcomes contemporary large jazz ensemble, John Vanore & Abstract Truth

Community Arts Center welcomes contemporary large jazz ensemble, John Vanore & Abstract Truth, video artist Juan Dimida and members of CAC’s Abstract Workshop for Friday Night Live, a night of live music and live art, on March 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the Duke Gallery at 414 Plush Mill Road in Wallingford, PA. Light refreshments are served and attendees are also welcome to pack snacks and their own beverages.
John Vanore has recorded and produced for EMI, Wyndham Hill, Miramax and has received a Gold Record for his work with Atlantic Records. He’s played in the trumpet sections for performers visiting Philadelphia including Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis, Michel LeGrand, Louis Bellson, and others.
With Abstract Truth, John Vanore defines the singular voice of this large ensemble—a leader in the movement in jazz that is redefining the big band. This uniquely instrumented ensemble’s original point of view where the soloist is prominent, if not dominant, draws on the traditions of the big band, but is neither limited by nor imitating it.

Artists from the CAC Abstract Workshop will create art during the performance and audience members will have the opportunity to bid on the completed work as part of a silent auction. Juan Dimida will create art digitally, which will be projected above the band so that the audience can experience its creation in real time throughout the musical performance.
Price of admission is $15 per person or $10 for Community Arts Center members. Light refreshments will be served and you can also BYOB, snacks or dinner. Ages 17 and over (must be 21 to bring or consume alcohol). The doors open at 7 p.m. and music will begin at 7:15 p.m.
