
Damiere Shaw would have liked to have reached the Catholic League Class AAA championship game again, as he did his junior year at , but that quest was snipped short when the Lions lost a tough 20-14 playoff loss to Monsignor Bonner last Friday.
O’Hara, which is 5-5 overall, can close on a good note in the postponed game on Nov. 18 against Haverford School at O’Hara.
, made a key play in the Bonner causing a fumble and setting up O’Hara with a chance to win.

“I’m obviously disappointed to go out in the first round; everyone played hard and we gave a great effort and I have to give Bonner a lot of credit, it’s tough to beat a team twice in one season,” Shaw said.
“I was hoping to get the chance to play at least for a championship. I can still take a lot from this season. We drove up the field against Bonner and we kept fighting and there was trust with the guys that we would make plays. O’Hara no doubt will be really good the next two years. It will fun to come back and watch these younger guys mature and see the guys I helped lead and where they go.”
