Power Back On For Most In Springfield

Strong winds Saturday into Sunday knocked out power to more than 6,500 residents in Delaware County, PECO reports. On Sunday morning, more than 250 Springfield residents were without power. By Sunday night, 84 residents were still waiting for the lights to come on.
A storm system passed through the region overnight, bringing gusts of up to 60 mph, the National Weather Service said. A severe thunderstorm warning was in place around midnight, as heavy thunder and lightning, strong winds and rain passed across the region.
