Obituary: Eleanor E. DeProspero

Eleanor E. DeProspero, a Springfield resident of over 50 years, died on June 27, 2012.

Mrs. Eleanor E. (nee Imle) DeProspero, 79, died on June 27, 2012, at Lankenau Hospital in Lower Merion, PA after a lengthy illness.

Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. DeProspero was a graduate of Bartram High School.  The homemaker was a resident of Springfield for over 50 years and was a member of .

She devoted her life to caring for her family, and spending time with her loved ones and friends was what brought her the most joy.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Nicholas J. DeProspero, two sons, Nicholas, Jr. and Matthew DeProspero, two daughters, Gail Green and Valerie Abt and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna, in 1974.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Sunday, July 1, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the , Inc., 530 W. Woodland Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064.  They are also invited to her viewing on Monday, July 2 after 9:30 a.m. at St. Kevin Church, 200 W. Sproul Road, Springfield until the time of her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.

Entombment will be in , Springfield, PA.
