The O'Hara Track Alumni Committee was formed in July 2012.
Our first mission was to raise funds to add an all-weather rubber surface to
the 8-lane track, with additional surfaces for field events. Fundraising
efforts have gone well and the 8-lane track is complete. Additional funds
are needed to complete the field events & purchase equipment required to
host track meets. All proceeds from the race will be used to support this
effort as well as the effort to complete the stadium complex. Donations
for this event are tax exempt as the association is a nonprofit (tax ID
#46-0693017). Finishing the track complex will provide a home course for
O'Hara's running teams to practice & host meets, a place for student
athletes from across the Catholic League & area to meet and compete,
and a spot for runners and walkers in the surrounding community
to enjoy.
