Package Theft, Burglary, Retail Thefts: Springfield Crime Blotter

SPRINGFIELD, PA —
Aug. 14 at 12:22 p.m.
Target, 1200 Baltimore Pike, reported a theft had just occurred. Two subjects fled the store riding stolen bicycles and carrying two baskets of merchandise. Officers were able to apprehend one suspect. A 26-year-old man from Philadelphia stole a $300 Schwinn bicycle and $312 of clothing. He was charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.
Aug. 14 at 5:35 p.m.
A resident from the 700 block of Dunwoody Drive reported an Amazon package stolen from her front porch.

Aug. 17 at 9:30 a.m.
Staff at the Rolling Green Golf Club reported a burglary discovered. The building was entered sometime overnight and several offices had been ransacked. Items were scattered around the pro shop, and cabinets in the bar area were open. Det. Kyle Cutcliff is investigating.
Aug. 18 at 2:51 p.m.
Target, 857 Baltimore Pike, reported shoplifters in custody. A 24-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman, both from New York, selected beauty products and clothing items, and entered the self-checkout. They only scanned some of the items before leaving the store. Both were detained by security and turned over to police. $397 of unpaid merchandise was recovered from the man and $285 of unpaid merchandise was recovered from the woman. Both were charged with Retail Theft and held for arraignment.

Aug. 18 at 3:54 p.m.
Macy’s, 1300 Baltimore Pike, reported a shoplifter in custody. A 67-year-old man from Philadelphia, concealed fragrance sets in an Aldi shopping bag and attempted to leave the store. He was stopped by security and a total of $541 of unpaid merchandise was recovered. He was turned over to police and charged with Retail Theft. He was held for arraignment.
