Woman Charged with DUI

While on patrol in the 1100 block of Baltimore Pike May 15 at 3:53 p.m., Patrolman Nicholas Paytas observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner. The vehicle was stopped and the operator, Landa Johnson, 26, of the 800 block of North Avenue in Springfield, was allegedly intoxicated. She was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the Springfield Police Station. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and related motor vehicle violations. She was later released to a relative. The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy.

While on patrol in the 100 block of Baltimore Pike, Patrolman Michael Kingsbury observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner May 15 at 11:37 p.m. The vehicle was stopped and the operator, Saye Livingston, 25, of Blackwell Lane in Willingboro, New Jersey, was allegedly intoxicated. He was taken to Springfield Hospital, had blood drawn, and was then transported to the Springfield Township Police Station. He gave the officer false identification when he was interviewed. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, false identification to law enforcement and various motor vehicle violations. Detective Robert Nutley is handling the investigation.

Burglars Take Cash, Jewelry

A resident from the 400 block of Kerr Lane reported that sometime May 16 between 8:55 a.m. and 4:34 p.m. someone entered her home by forcing open the rear sliding door. The investigation showed that the burglars went through the bedrooms on the second floor and removed cash from a dresser drawer and an unknown quantity of jewelry. The incident is under investigation by Detective Bridget McCarthy.

Attempted Break In at Lamb Tavern

While on patrol in the area of the May 17 at 4:44 a.m., Patrolman Andrew Graff observed that someone had attempted to forcibly enter the business through windows on the second floor. The investigation showed that someone tampered with both the screens and the windows; however, no entry had been gained.

Truck Trunk Keyed

A resident from the 400 block of Southcroft Road reported May 18 at 5:39 p.m. that sometime during the night someone keyed the trunk of his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the home.

Vehicle Window Smashed

A resident from the 200 block of S. Highland Road reported on May 20 at 5:28 a.m. that sometime overnight someone smashed out the driver’s side rear window of the vehicle while it was parked on the street in front of the home.
