Police Blotter: Man Steals More Than $5K in Macy's Merchandise

Two days later, police were called to Macy's for another theft.

Macy’s: Man Steals More Than $5K in Merchandise

July 30: Security reported that they had a male in custody for Retail Theft at the store. Patrolman Andrew Graff responded and took a 20-year-old Norwood man into custody and transported him to the Springfield Police Station. He was charged with Retail Theft for taking $5,489 worth of merchandise from the store and Receiving Stolen Property. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

Driver Charged With DUI After Reckless Driving on Springfield Road

July 31: While on patrol in the 100 block of E. Springfield Rd. Sgt. Kurt Sellers observed a vehicle driving in a reckless manner. The vehicle was stopped and the operator, a Clifton Heights man was found to be intoxicated. He was taken to , had blood drawn, and was then transported to the . He was charged with Driving Under The Influence Of Alcohol and related Motor Vehicle Violations. He was later released to a relative. The incident is under investigation by Detective Daniel McNeely.

3 Women Charged With Stealing From Macy’s

August 1: Security reported that three females were attempting to leave the store with a large quantity of stolen merchandise. Patrolman Kai DiRemigio responded and located the actors attempting to enter a vehicle in the lot after exiting the store. The three women were stopped, identified by store security, taken into custody, and transported to the . The three Coatesville women two age 19 and on age 18, were charged with Retail Theft for taking $558 worth of merchandise from the store, Receiving Stolen Β Property, Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession of Instruments Of Crime. The incident is under investigation Detective Daniel McNeely.
